This video shows a basic sweep picking arpeggio. This particular arpeggio can be played over power chords because it contains both the 3rd(major interval) and the b3rd (minor interval). However, it sounds the best over ambient one note backings, such as  synthesized strings or just the root. I came up with this just to make it a bit easier for the beginner, but don't let that fool you, it still sounds very good. For best results, don't over use this pattern in your own creations as that's never a good idea.
