Personal Experience    Tips-&-Tricks

Overview...

I first started playing around with recording software in the PRISM program way back in my High School days. Ten Years Later you'll still find me plugging away at it, still learning new things and a lot of goofing off.

My personal experience is probably not the "conventional" way, and is DEFINITELY not the professional way. It is my own way. The easiest way to figure something out is to learn the basics and go from there. That's what most of the sections that deal with Home Recording here at fret-master deal with. The Basics...and a few tricks that you may not find on any other tutorials.

Now by all means the professional approach will get you results, but you have to have professional equipment. My Home Recording sections are designed for those of us who don't have the dough for a $50,000 recording studio but still want to have a good enough sound to get your musical point and style across to all who listen to your recordings.

I have had people with far better equipment ask me how I get my sound. When I tell them they honestly don't believe me until I show them. I have heard a lot worse on far better equipment.

You can download and listen to some of my songs HERE in the Downloads section. Everything I have recorded has been with cakewalk, so go check it out if you want.
