How do I request a lesson?

You may either go to the "request a lesson" category under the Lessons Link located at the top or just send  an email to lessons@fret-master.com and include your name (or nickname) so that I can post your name with your requested lesson. Also include the subject/category of the request if you know it and as much detail as you can about what you want to know. Then just click on the "Newest Lessons" link under the "Lessons" category Located on the main link bar above to see your lesson when it is posted. I will also send you an e-mail to let you know your request has been selected and an approximate date for its post.

What can I Request as a Lesson?

Anything guitar related. Whether it pertains to Country, Rock/Hard Rock, Metal, Pop...etc. There is no question to big or too small. Anything you wish to ask I will try my best to answer it promptly.

When I click the "send request" button from the Request a Lessons page a warning pops up. What is this?

The warning is just telling you that I will be able to see your e-mail address and that the message isn't encrypted. This is perfectly normal as I will need to know your e-mail address to tell you when your request is ready anyway. As far as the message not being encrypted, it just means that it is being sent to me without encryption. You would however want encryption if you were to submit say, your credit card info. Since the information that you are sending me is not really that delicate or secret this is fine. * If you are using Microsoft Outlook to send your request you may get an additional warning that says something along the lines of.. "a program is trying to send a message on your behalf. Do you want to allow this?" and then it says something like "this could be a virus if it is unexpected"...blah blah.. This is obviously fine since you DID tell it to send the e-mail and it is not a virus. However if you ever get this dialogue and you didn't submit any info...then that may very well be a virus. Any way all of this is perfectly normal so request away.

My Request is no where to be found. How Long is it going to be before it's posted?

If you have made a request and it has been a while  and it is not here please re-mail your request. Please keep in mind I get many requests and the ones that get answered first are the ones I have multiple requests for  (if any). Otherwise it's on a first come basis. In other words for example you want to know more about artificial harmonics but you were the only one with a request for that category and there are 5 people that want to know more about let's say "How to mic your guitar amp for recording" then those will be answered first. So give me time and I'll have yours posted. Usually It'll go smoother than this, just wanted to let you know how things are handled.

I Have a question that isn't answered here. How may I contact you?

Just e-mail me at helpme@fret-master.com with any questions regarding problems with the site or anything else you need help with. I would like to say please don't e-mail your requests for lessons here as they will more than likely be ignored.

Do you use my e-mail address for anything other than notifying me of when my request is ready?

Nope. I won't even keep your e-mail address in an address book, nor will I send you junk mail, or SPAM, or anything else like that. Not even a Newsletter...because I don't currently publish one. So to thoroughly answer your question...No.
